About This Episode

Rachel Clar’s Background

Rachel Clar is the founder of Interconnected Us, a coaching business dedicated to helping women lawyers grow their confidence, leverage their networks, and achieve their career goals. With a background in labor and bankruptcy law, Rachel quickly realized her true passion was in guiding others. Her unique ability to see abundance and opportunity in professional relationships led her to create a business that empowers women lawyers to take charge of their careers.

“I see such abundance when I look out there... It’s all right there. It’s just a matter of how we use the network to get more access and feel deeply supported," shares Rachel Clar on You Are A Lawyer.

Through Interconnected Us, Rachel provides tailored coaching programs that help women lawyers shift their mindsets, refine their networking strategies, and build influence. By focusing on confidence-building and internal growth, she creates a supportive space where her clients can unlock their potential and make waves in the legal profession.

Why Law School

Rachel’s decision to attend law school was rooted in a desire to challenge herself and gain the critical thinking skills necessary for leadership. Her journey began with a genuine love for advocacy and an interest in creating change, but her time practicing law quickly revealed the limitations of traditional legal roles. This realization set her on a path toward entrepreneurship and coaching.

"I just knew that my highest and best use was not going to be practicing bankruptcy law... It was time to explore something new," reflects Rachel Clar on Episode 174 of You Are a Lawyer.

While law school provided Rachel with foundational skills in persuasion and influence, it also helped her understand her strengths and passions. Her time in law taught her the importance of adaptability and creative thinking—qualities she now uses to empower women lawyers to reimagine their own potential.

What Can You Do with a Law Degree

Rachel’s career is a testament to the versatility of a law degree. By combining her legal expertise with her passion for leadership and networking, she transitioned from practicing law to coaching women lawyers through Interconnected Us. Her work highlights how a legal education can be a springboard to non-traditional career paths that prioritize personal and professional fulfillment.

“Being a lawyer means you are a professional storyteller... Take every chapter you’ve had and integrate that to become something new.," emphasizes Rachel Clar on Episode 174 of You Are a Lawyer.

Rachel uses the tools she gained in law school—such as advocacy, strategy, and communication—to help others succeed. Whether it’s guiding clients through mindset shifts or helping them build strategic connections, she demonstrates that a law degree can open doors to innovative and impactful careers far beyond the courtroom.

Lawyer Side Hustles

Rachel Clar’s entrepreneurial journey illustrates how side hustles can evolve into full-time careers that align with your passions and skills. Through her coaching business, Interconnected Us, Rachel helps women lawyers leverage their networks, grow their influence, and build careers that reflect their true potential. What began as informal coaching for friends on evenings and weekends became a thriving business, empowering women lawyers to take control of their careers and step into leadership roles with confidence.

“I love watching women step into their power. It absolutely lights me up,” shares Rachel Clar in Episode 174 of You Are a Lawyer.

Interconnected Us offers women lawyers a structured approach to networking and growth, starting with Rachel’s Rainmaking Roadmap, a three-hour intensive designed to solve a specific problem and create a tailored strategy for success. From there, participants can join her mastermind program, where Rachel delves deeper into confidence-building, professional development, and actionable steps to achieve long-term career goals. Her programs are grounded in the belief that lawyers already possess the skills they need to succeed, and with the right mindset and tools, they can unlock incredible opportunities. Rachel’s work demonstrates the potential of turning a side hustle into a transformative platform for both personal fulfillment and professional impact.
