Daya has a diverse background that spans over 25 years in the legal field, primarily focusing on construction law. Originally from Daphne, Alabama, she spent a significant portion of her adult life in Louisiana, where she attended Loyola Law School. After obtaining her law degree, Daya practiced construction law for about 18 years, navigating the complexities of urban renewal projects in both Louisiana and Michigan. Her career took a pivotal turn following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, which created a surge in demand for construction-related legal services. Daya's deep-rooted familiarity with the construction industry, stemming from her family's involvement in the field, ultimately guided her into this niche area of law.
“I had that kind of mid-career urge to do something different... it was a different venture," shares Daya Naef on You Are A Lawyer.
In 2016, Daya founded The Success Partner, a coaching and consulting firm designed to assist law firms and legal professionals in various stages of their careers.
